Playing in your browser
Choose Play Now on the arcade page. Play three free Word Search themes or four free Crossword puzzles with unlimited replay. A one-time web purchase unlocks the remaining launch collection: $1.49 US for Word Search or $1.99 US for Crossword. Word Search saves puzzle selections, found words and completed themes automatically in this browser on this device. Retro Crossword Puzzles saves completed puzzle identifiers automatically; unfinished letters last for the active play session.
Return using the same browser and device to use those saves. Private browsing, clearing site data, resetting progress or changing devices can affect saved progress. Read the game's saving status if browser storage is unavailable. Reset Progress clears the progress identified by that game's confirmation. Website browser saves and mobile app saves are separate.
Towers 205 Retro Word Search — mobile
iPhone, iPad, Android phone and Android tablet editions are in development. Store download links will appear when each edition is available.
In the iPhone and iPad edition, the free sampler includes Arcade Nights (1980s), Saturday Morning Cartoons (1990s) and Flip Phone Life (2000s) at all three levels: 8, 9 and 10 words. Each free theme and level permits unlimited replay and is available immediately. The $1.49 US permanent full-game unlock opens the other 27 launch themes in the 30-theme collection. The App Store displays the applicable local price before purchase.
Towers 205 Retro Crossword — mobile
iPhone, iPad, Android phone and Android tablet editions are in development. Store download links will appear when each edition is available.
The approved free sampler has four 1990s Starter puzzles, one each from Music, Movies, Skating and Cars, with unlimited replay. The planned $1.99 US permanent full-game unlock opens the remaining 176 launch puzzles in the 180-puzzle collection.
Retro Word Stack — mobile
Build and reshape words against the computer on a 9 by 9 board. Choose Easy, Normal or Hard. Drag letters to arrange your rack, place them on the board, move them before confirming, or return them to an empty rack slot. The preview shows your word and score. Choose Play word to confirm.
New matches use one shuffled 196-tile bag shared by both players. Each player has up to twelve turns; four consecutive zero-score turns finish the match early. Confirmed turns save on this device. Clearing app data or removing the app can remove local progress. Use the final score screen to play another match.
Three complete matches are free. A one-time permanent unlock opens unlimited matches at every difficulty. The US price is $1.99; your store shows the local price. Every match is ad-free. On iPhone and iPad, use Menu → Restore purchase with the same Apple account to recover your unlock. Android purchase restoration is being prepared and tested before release. Purchase ownership and saved match progress are separate.
iPhone, iPad and Android editions are being prepared for release. Store links will appear when each edition is available.
Retro Picture Puzzle — iPhone and iPad
The iPhone and iPad edition is being prepared for release. Its launch collection contains 96 pictures across 12 cities. Play the first picture in every city free at 16, 24 or 36 pieces, with unlimited replay. A permanent city unlock opens the other seven pictures in that city for $0.49 US. The $2.99 US permanent twelve-city collection opens all 96 launch pictures. The App Store displays your local price before purchase.
Tap two tiles or drag one onto another to swap them. Choose Show picture to view the complete scene, or Reshuffle for another arrangement. Tile arrangements and completion history save on this device. Return on the same device to continue. Removing the app or its saved data can remove progress.
To recover a purchased city or collection, open Menu → Restore purchases using the original purchasing Apple account. Check your internet connection and App Store sign-in if access is missing. Restoring a purchase recovers access; saved puzzle progress remains a separate record. Website, Apple and Google Play purchases are separate.
Picture Puzzle purchases use individual access. Apple Family Sharing is turned off for its city and collection purchases. For help, email [email protected] and include the game version from Menu → About.
Mobile progress and recovery
Current mobile builds save progress automatically on the device, including the current puzzle state. Word Search and Crossword retain a previous validated local checkpoint for recovery. Recovery replaces current progress with the selected earlier save; review the confirmation before proceeding. App removal or cleared app data can remove local saves.
Word Search on Android: progress export and confirmed import have passed local emulator checks. Use the progress-file actions in Settings to keep a copy in a location you control and restore a valid file for this game. A damaged file is rejected while current progress is retained.
Crossword on Android: progress export and confirmed import have passed local emulator checks. Use the progress-file actions in Settings, select the file through the system picker, and review the replacement confirmation.
Word Search and Crossword on iOS: local checkpoint saving and previous-save recovery have passed simulator checks. Manual file export/import remains under development and testing. Cross-platform file transfer and Apple/Google cloud recovery still require configuration and testing. Keep an exported Android file where you can find it; verify your app's available recovery actions before removing the app or changing devices.
Progress files contain gameplay progress. Purchase ownership is handled separately by the store. Restoring progress and restoring a purchase serve different purposes.
Unlocks, restoration and family access
Website purchases
Select a locked theme or puzzle to open the web purchase offer. Stripe processes the one-time payment and returns you to Towers 205 for confirmation. Use your checkout email address on the Restore web purchases page to receive a sign-in link. The link lasts 24 hours and works once. You can restore browser access on a phone, tablet or computer while keeping access in your other browsers. Browser progress remains on each device. Web, Apple and Google purchases are separate. Card statements display JONWARD* TOWERS205. Send purchase or refund questions to [email protected].
Mobile purchases
Each planned permanent unlock includes that game's launch collection, fixes and improvements. Substantial future theme or puzzle packs may be sold separately, with contents and prices shown before purchase. US launch prices are listed above; the store will display the applicable local price before payment.
Select a paid theme or puzzle, or choose Unlock Full Game in Settings, to view the offer. Free sampler content remains replayable. To recover an existing purchase, use Restore Purchases with the original purchasing Apple or Google account and the original store. Check your internet connection and store sign-in if an unlock is missing.
iOS and Android purchases are separate. An Apple purchase grants access in the Apple edition; a Google Play purchase grants access in the Android edition. Access on the other platform requires its own purchase.
The Android in-app unlock belongs to the purchasing Google account. Google Play Family Library excludes in-app purchases. Each player purchases their own game access. Towers 205 Arcade’s planned game releases use individual purchases, with Family Sharing turned off. Store purchase and restoration behavior is checked for each edition before release.
Mobile privacy and website hosting

Optional gameplay images are generated on the device and shared to destinations the player selects. Cloud recovery remains pending.
